I did read through your thread before posting. Steve, great work on the great detail on OS Options and SATA setup. I am sticking with XP Pro SP3. There were some points in your SATA setup info that I had not considered before. It seems SATA IDE mode is the best option for me; ie, using a SATA Optical drive. For backup purposes, I can easily use a dvd once a week. Later, after I've gotten a bit more use to this new board and cpu, I can add harddrive space if needed or for backup purposes. Cheers!
